leave your underpants on,
and lie on this bed
with you face down in the pillow.
Any pressure point that you want to focus on?"
This are the lines I always say to my massage clients.
Encountering the stereotypes even in the academy institution, I question the oriental imagination that European has built toward East-Asian ethnic. The work start with an ironic performative announcement, then I proposed a collective exercise. The host (me) start the massage movement, and ask the group pass on the movement. The movement transport back to me in a circle. With all the ticklish, sour, and pain, the ambiguity of cultural understanding, and communication slowly revealed.
